Example 1 — Bet on Team A to win (৳200 stake)
Team A's decimal odds are 2.50, fractional 3/2 and American +150 — three different ways of writing the same odds.
If Team A wins: ৳200 × 2.50 = ৳500 return (৳300 profit + ৳200 stake back). If Team A loses, the full ৳200 stake is gone.
Example 2 — Bet on Team B (favourite) to win (৳200 stake)
Team B's decimal odds are 1.80, fractional 4/5 and American -125. A negative American odds figure means how much you need to bet to make ৳100 profit.
If Team B wins: ৳200 × 1.80 = ৳360 return (৳160 profit). Because the favourite's odds are lower, the return is also lower, but the chance of winning is higher.
Multi bet calculation (three selections)
If three selections have decimal odds of 1.40, 1.50 and 1.60 — the combined odds will be:
1.40 × 1.50 × 1.60 = 3.36
The return on a ৳100 stake will be ৳336 — but only if all three selections are correct. If one is wrong, the full ৳100 stake is lost.
Which format is most commonly used?
